CYBA strives to maintain high ethical standards in the crewed yacht charter industry and provides a liaison between brokers and industry-related groups.
Brokers are eligible to join CYBA after attending a new broker’s seminar and two recognized broker shows for two consecutive years. Applicants must also request sponsorship letters from two active CYBA members.
CYBA was formed in the early days of The Caribbean crewed charter industry and has achieved much over the years. Some past successes include the introduction of escrow accounts and the mentor program. The Association provides an invaluable link between charter brokers and the clearinghouses that represent yacht owners and crews.
Most U.S. brokers are members of CYBA, but it is important to check. Members do have to conform to a list of standards which provides charterers with additional security.
